The components of the registration certificate
The total cost brings together several taxes, three of which are decisive on a premium vehicle.
- The regional tax (Y.1): number of fiscal horsepower × the regional rate per CV.
- The CO2 environmental penalty (malus) (Y.4): based on WLTP emissions, 2026 scale.
- The weight penalty (malus): tax on kerb mass, above the mass threshold.
