Registration cost calculator

The calculator combines the taxes that make up the French registration certificate, then adds the fixed fees to give you the amount payable.

• The CO2 penalty (malus), calculated on WLTP emissions under the 2026 scale in force.
• The weight penalty (malus) (tax on the vehicle's kerb mass), which hits the heaviest models.
• The fixed taxes (processing, delivery of the certificate) and, where applicable, the surcharge on an imported used vehicle.
