⚠️ Identification notice. The AMG ONE is a limited-series hypercar (275 units) using a genuine F1 hybrid powertrain (V6 1,6 L turbo + 4 electric motors). Not to be confused with other AMG models (AMG GT, GT Black Series, SLS…), which are of conventional design. The ONE is unique for its road-homologated F1 engine. See section 10.

Powertrain

Combustion engine
Mercedes-Benz PU106 Hybrid, V6 at 90°, 1,6 L (1 599 cc), turbocharged — derived from the Mercedes F1 unit (2014–2016 era, W05/W06/W07)
Bore × stroke
80 × 53 mm (F1 base)
Combustion power alone
574 hp (422 kW) @ high revs
Combined power
1 063 hp (782 kW) (i.e. ≈ 1 049 hp — imperial conversion; breakdown: combustion 574 hp + MGU-H 122 hp + MGU-K 163 hp + 2 front-axle motors 326 hp)
Torque
not disclosed by Mercedes (complexity of the hybrid system) → n.c.
Redline
11 000 rpm (reduced from the 15 000 rpm of the F1); idle ≈ 1 280 rpm
Compression ratio
high (F1 base, < 18:1) in road specification (à confirmer)
Fuelling
high-pressure direct injection, electrically assisted turbo (MGU-H); pneumatic valve springs
Forced induction
turbocharged (e-turbo, MGU-H)
Lubrication
dry sump
Layout
mid-rear (combustion) + front-axle motors
Engine distinctions
full rebuild required approximately every 50 000 km (very high cost) — see advisory note

Transmission

Gearbox
single-clutch automated 7-speed (Xtrac)
Architecture
complex hybrid (rear combustion + front electric)
Differential
electronic management (torque vectoring)
Driven wheels
all-wheel drive (AMG 4Matic+) — electric traction at the front, combustion + MGU-K at the rear
Associated systems
multiple hybrid modes (including full-electric); 8,4 kWh battery, 800 V system

Performance

0–100 km/h
2,9 s
0–200 km/h
7,0 s
Top speed
352 km/h (219 mph)
Reference circuit
n.c. (lap record at the Nürburgring set by the car — to be confirmed)

Chassis & suspension

Chassis / materials
carbon monocoque + aluminium honeycomb structures (the combustion unit is semi-stressed, as in F1)
Rigidity
n.c. (n.c.)
Front/rear suspension
pushrod-actuated, Multimatic pilot-valve dampers; Race+ mode lowering the body (~37 mm front / 30 mm rear)
Steering
electromechanical power-assisted
Braking
carbon-ceramic; ceramic wheel bearings (reduced friction)
Front/rear tyres
Michelin Cup 2 R bespoke (dimensions (à confirmer)
Front/rear wheels
forged wheels, centre-lock nut

Aerodynamics

Cd
n.c. (n.c.)
Downforce
high (figure not disclosed), active aerodynamics
Devices
active front flaps, deployable rear wing in two positions (DRS-type), diffuser, roof air intake
Methodology
direct heritage from F1

Dimensions, weight & capacities

L × W × H
4 756 × 2 010 × 1 261 mm
Wheelbase
2 720 mm · Front/rear tracks: n.c.
Ground clearance
adjustable (modes) · Overhangs: n.c.
Weight (DIN)
≈ 1 695 kg · Kerb weight / measured: ≈ 1 745 kg
Distribution
50/50
Centre of gravity
low (n.c.)
Fuel tank
n.c. · Boot: minimal · Electric range: ≈ 18 km
Battery
8,4 kWh (lithium-ion, 800 V)

Power-to-weight ratio ≈ 1,6 kg/hp.

Electronics & vehicle dynamics

Dynamic controls
ESP, ABS, traction control, hybrid/torque-vectoring management, active aerodynamics
Drive modes
multiple AMG Dynamic programmes (including full-electric and Race+)
ECU / software architecture
derived from F1 (complex engine/hybrid management)

Fuel consumption & emissions

Consumption
≈ 8,7 L/100 km (WLTP combined cycle, plug-in hybrid)
CO₂
≈ 198 g/km (WLTP)
Standard
Euro 6d · plug-in hybrid (PHEV)

Lineage & positioning

Replaces
no direct predecessor; spiritual successor to the Mercedes CLK GTR / CLK LM 'Straßenversion' (late 1990s)
Replaced by
no announced replacement (unique project tied to the F1 regulations of the period)
Key rivals
Aston Martin Valkyrie (closest direct rival, F1-technology hypercar), Ferrari (LaFerrari successors), McLaren Ultimate Series

Not to be confused with: AMG GT / AMG GT Black Series — sports cars/GTs of conventional design (V8), with no technical connection — SLS AMG, AMG GT R — other high-performance AMG models → the ONE is the only road car from the marque with a genuine F1 engine

Collectability & valuation

Rarity
275 units, all allocated by selection → exceptional hypercar
Desirability
road-homologated F1 powertrain (unique case), direct link to the Mercedes-Hamilton championship era; personalisation, provenance and low mileage are decisive factors; strong heritage value
Advisory points
extreme maintenance — engine rebuild approximately every 50 000 km at very high cost (quoted at ~850 000 £); hybrid/F1 complexity; severely constrained real-world use (collection/track car); manufacturer follow-up indispensable
Valuation
on request (range + comparables + sources + date — very narrow market)
